কে সফল হতে চায় না? প্রত্যেকেই চায় সফল হতে। কিন্তু সবাই সফল হতে পারে না। আর সফল না হতে পারার প্রথম শর্ত হলো আত্মবিশ্বাসের অভাব। যদি আত্মবিশ্বাসী হওয়া যায় তাহলে প্রায় প্রতিটি কাজেই সফল খুব সহজেই সফলতা অর্জন করা সম্ভব।
সামান্য একটি বিষয় ভেবে দেখুন, আপনি কোন কাজে একবার সফল হলে ওই জাতীয় সকল কাজে সর্বেোচ্চ উৎসাহ উদ্দীপনা নিয়ে কাজ করেন। যার ফলে সফলও হন। কিন্তু আমরা নতুন কোন কাজ করতে গেলে প্রথমে খুবই উদ্দমী থাকি। কিন্তু দেখা যায় সময়ের সাথে সাথে আগ্রহটা কমে যায়। আমরা সেই উৎসাহ, উদ্দীপনা নিয়ে আর কাজ করি না। তারপর দেখা যায়, আমাদের কাজে একটু বাধা আসলে আমরা আত্মবিশ্বাস হারিয়ে ফেলি। নিজেই বলে ফেলি, হয়তো আমার দ্বারা এটা আর হবে না। আর মন ভেঙ্গে যাওয়ার কারনে, আগের মতো কাজও করি না। আসতে আসতে দেখা যায় যে, কাজটির উপর আগ্রহ একেবারেই চলে যায়। আর সফল হওয়া ওঠে না।
আসলে দোষটা আমাদের। আমরা যদি প্রথম থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত শতভাগ আত্মবিশ্বাস নিয়ে কাজ করি তাহলে আমাদের সফলতা আটকানো অসম্ভব। আমরা ধৈর্য্য হারিয়ে ফেলি। আমরা সহজেই সফলতা অর্জন করতে চাই। কিন্তু সফলতা কখনোই সহজে ধরা দেয় না। সফলতা অর্জন করতে হলে কঠোর পরিশ্রম করতে হয়। প্রথম থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত আত্মবিশ্বাসী হয়ে কাজ করতে হয়। সকল বাধা-বিপত্তিকে আত্মবিশ্বাসের সাথে মোকাবিলা করতে শিখতে হয়। নিজের উপর ভরসা রাখতে হয়, হ্যা আমি অবশ্যই পারবো। আমি সব সময়ই একটা কথা বলে থাকি, There are nothing impossible for human being, just need a strong will.
